Dog health care is influenced hugely by what foods we feed them. Illnesses from arthritis in dogs to cruciate ruptures and including cancer in dogs, are directly related to what we feed them. When you think about what we put in our own bodies and how it affects us, why would it not be the same for our wonderful canine friends?
If we eat junk food all the time and fast foods, we will end up with enormous health problems. That is equivalent to feeding our companions a poor quality, inexpensive dry kibble. In fact, if you look at the ingredients listed:
- meat by- products
- corn
- preservatives such as BHA, BHT, and ethoxyquin will usually be in the list
- sweetners
- artificial colors
All of these items are non- condusive to a healthy dog body.
For a dog recovering from an illness or alc surgery, the nutritional needs will be different than one who is healthy. Arthritis in dogs can be profoundly helped by knowing what to feed them and what to supplement their diet with. I get very in detail about all of that in my ebook, “The Ultimate Rehabilitation & Physiotherapy Guide for Dogs.” There are so many conditions we can help so very simply by just knowing what to feed our dog.Image may be NSFW.

If you are going to feed a dry kibble, there is a protocol you can follow. The list is as follows:
- animal protein should be listed in the top three ingredients
- it is best to have at least two animal proteins listed
- vegetables, fruits or grains preferrably organic are next
There is so much more on this topic and I am just skimming the surface here…
